Whether you ultimately choose another family or us, please know that you are constantly covered in our prayers. You matter to us, and your child matters to us.

We are incredibly hopeful about growing our family through adoption, and it would be a tremendous honor to raise and love your child. If you choose us, we promise to cherish them every single day. WITH SO MUCH LOVE & CARE,

Matt & Margot

THE BEGINNING

In the spring of 2022, among rows of tulips, Matt proposed there.

We met on a dating app and quickly connected over our shared sense of humor, love of sports, good food, funny movies, and especially Christmas. What began as an easy conversation turned into something that felt natural and steady right away.

We started dating at the end of November, just as the holiday season was beginning. Our second date is one we still talk about often. We visited a small town that transforms for Christmas each year. It’s like something out of a Hallmark movie. It was simple, fun, and meaningful, and it’s now a tradition we continue every year with our extended family. We have dinner at an Italian restaurant on Main Street, walk through the lights, and grab hot chocolate from firefighters outside the station.

On our third date, Matt taught Margot how to make tamales. That experience turned into another tradition we’ve kept ever since. Each Christmas season, we make tamales together and enjoy the time it gives us to slow down and be together. Traditions like these are an important part of our home and something we look forward to sharing with our children.

We also love visiting a nearby farm, each year, that grows tulips in the spring and sunflowers in the summer. You’ll notice that tulips hold a special place in our hearts. In the spring of 2022, among rows of tulips, Matt proposed there. It’s a place that holds a lot of meaning for us and marks the beginning of our family.

INITIAL ATTRACTION

“I was drawn to Margot’s humor, her beautiful eyes, and her smile. I love how caring, fun, and spirited she is.” -Matt

“I was first attracted to Matt’s caring nature. Matt is the most loving person I’ve ever met. Whether he is caring for me, our dogs, our family & friends, our church, our neighbors, or the unhoused; Matt is always thinking of others.” -Margot

A SNAPSHOT INTO OUR LIVES

WHEN WE MET FOR THE FIRST TIME: 11.2018

WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED: 03.2022

WHEN WE GOT MARRIED: 04.2023

WHEN WE STARTED THE ADOPTION PROCESS: 11.2024

WHY WE CHOSE ADOPTION

We will speak about you with deep respect, gratitude, and kindness so your child grows up knowing how loved they were from the very beginning.

Adoption has been on our hearts for a long time. We first talked about it while we were dating, and it was something we continued to explore early in our marriage. Even then, we both felt a deep sense that welcoming a child through adoption might one day be part of our story.

Later, we each received diagnoses of infertility, and adoption became our only path to parenthood. While that news was difficult, it also confirmed something we felt God had placed on our hearts long before. Through prayer and time, our excitement for adoption has only grown.

We truly believe this is the path God prepared for our family. We are so grateful and hopeful for the day we can welcome a child into our home and begin the beautiful journey of parenthood through adoption.

HOW WE WILL HONOR YOU

We know that a child’s story begins long before they come into our home, and we will always honor the love, strength, and courage of their expectant parents. We will speak about you with deep respect, gratitude, and kindness so your child grows up knowing how loved they were from the very beginning.

We will make sure your child knows where they come from and has love for their story. If your family has a unique culture or heritage, we will celebrate it and weave it into our home through traditions, food, stories, and learning. We want your child to grow up with a strong sense of identity and a deep understanding of the people and history that are part of who they are.

Our hope is that your child will always know their story is beautiful, meaningful, and filled with love from every side.

MEET MATT

Matt leads with humility and strong faith, always trying to do the right thing and love people well.

A WORK-LIFE CENTERED AROUND SERVICE

CHEF | COACH | DEACON | LEADER

For many years, I worked as a chef, creating both local and international dishes. I loved the creativity of the kitchen and the way food brings people together. As much as I enjoyed it, I knew the long, late hours wouldn’t allow me to be the present husband and father I hope to be. That led me to transition into the IT field, where I now work as a Project Manager.

No matter the role, I’ve always loved encouraging and supporting others. I’m someone who values patience, kindness, and making people feel seen and appreciated. These are qualities I look forward to bringing into fatherhood every day.

I also serve as a deacon at our church, where I care deeply about our community. I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals experiencing homelessness and walk alongside those in addiction recovery. Serving others is a big part of who I am, and I’m excited to share that heart with a child.

MATT AS A FUTURE DAD

I look forward to being a dad more than I can put into words. I want to be present, patient, and someone my kids can always come to. My hope is to create a home where they feel safe, deeply loved, and encouraged to grow into who god created them to be. Above all, I want them to know how loved they are, how to love others well, and to truly know Jesus. I want our home to reflect that through prayer, kindness, forgiveness, and serving others.

I’m also excited for the fun parts like playing outside, going on adventures, and making lasting memories together. Whether it’s sports, trying new foods, or exploring new places, I hope to help them grow curious, compassionate, and open-hearted.

At the end of the day, I want my kids to know I’ll always be there to guide, support, and walk beside them through every stage of life. Being a dad is a role I feel incredibly grateful and excited to step into.

IN MARGOT’S WORDS

Matt is going to be the BEST father. He is calm, patient, and has a genuine kindness that makes people feel comfortable and cared for. He treats others with respect, encouragement, and consistency, and I know he will bring those same amazing qualities into fatherhood. Matt leads with humility and strong faith, always trying to do the right thing and love people well. Our niece and nephew ADORE him. They run into the room shouting his name and jump straight into his arms. I know our children will feel safe, valued, and deeply loved as he guides them with wisdom, laughter, and a heart that reflects Christ’s love. I truly believe fatherhood will be one of the greatest roles of his life.

A WORK-LIFE CENTERED AROUND CHILDREN

NANNY | TEACHER | DIRECTOR | CREATOR

Caring for children has always been one of the greatest joys of my life. As a nanny, I had the privilege of caring for many children across several families, creating a safe, loving, and fun environment where each child felt truly known and valued. Many of those families are still a special part of our lives today, and the children hold a lasting place in our hearts. They adore Matt and love spending time with “Mr. Matt.”

Today, I am a preschool teacher, where I get to create a classroom full of fun, curiosity, creativity, and laughter. From science experiments and nature walks to crafts and dance parties, I love helping children learn and feel celebrated every day. In August 2026, I will begin the role of Assistant Director, which will eventually give me more flexibility as a mom.

I also serve in a communications role at our church, doing social media and graphic design. It is a fun and creative position that allows me to continue doing what I love while prioritizing time with family.

IN MATT’S WORDS

One of the things I love most about Margot is how naturally she connects with children. She makes every child feel seen, included, and loved, and brings so much joy by turning everyday moments into fun. Watching her with the kids makes me so excited to see her become a mom. Her faith is at the center of who she is and shows in her patience, kindness, and love. She wants our children to grow up confident and deeply loved by us and by Jesus. I know she will create a home where our child feels safe, supported, and free to be themselves. I’m so grateful she’s my wife, and I can’t wait to watch her become a mom.

A LETTER FROM A BIRTH MOTHER

What brings me the most peace is how she honors the role of a birth mother. She knows you are an essential part of your child’s story and is committed to honoring that with gratitude and sensitivity.

Dear Expectant Parent,

Although we’ve never met, I feel a deep connection to you. As a birth mother myself, I understand the mix of love, fear, hope, and weight you may be carrying.

I’m writing because I know Margot well and wanted to share about her from a perspective that understands how important this decision is. When I was in your place, what mattered most was knowing my child would be loved, safe, and truly seen, and I believe with all my heart that Margot can offer that.

We work together as preschool teachers, and I see every day how naturally she cares for children. She gets on their level. She is patient, kind, and full of genuine joy. She listens, comforts, and celebrates each child in a way that makes them feel valued.

Margot’s desire to become a mother comes from deep love and intention. She understands that adoption holds both love and loss and approaches it with care and respect.

What brings me the most peace is how she honors the role of a birth mother. She knows you are an essential part of your child’s story and is committed to honoring that with gratitude and sensitivity. Whatever you choose, please know the love guiding you now will always be part of your child. If you are considering Margot, I truly believe she will provide a life full of love, stability, and opportunity.

With understanding and respect,

Jen
