We know this is not an easy decision, and we have so much respect for the courage, love, and strength it takes to consider adoption. Luke and Kacee

So, how did we get to the point of choosing adoption? It starts with us.

Luke and I met, fell in love, and were married a year and a half later. We moved back to my hometown so we could teach at the same school. After we married, we immediately started trying to grow our family. Month after month and year after year brought negative tests, tears, and heartbreak. Four years ago, we finally got answers and learned that Luke has a very low sperm motility rate. We tried medications and surgery, but unfortunately, we still have not been able to have our own children.

That journey brought us here – to adoption. We had talked about adopting before, but like many couples, we hoped we would be able to have children on our own. As teachers, we know there are so many children who need loving homes, and we want to be that home.

Our story may not be extraordinary, but it is ours. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us as you make this incredibly important decision.

Trying to describe Luke is harder than I expected because so much of who he is is shown through his actions. He is one of the hardest-working, kindest, and most caring people I know, and he has a way of making everyone around him feel valued and supported.

Luke was raised in a small town by incredible parents and grandparents who taught him the importance of hard work, gratitude, and treating others with kindness. Those lessons have shaped the man he is today.

One of my favorite memories happened early in our relationship. I came home from work with a terrible migraine, and before I even asked, Luke came over after school and made me my favorite childhood comfort food, Kraft Mac and Cheese. It wasn’t about what he made; it was the fact that he remembered. He stayed with me the rest of the evening to make sure I was okay. That simple act told me everything I needed to know about the kind of man he is.

Luke is my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the person I can always count on. I know he is going to be an incredible father because he already loves so selflessly. He will teach our child the value of hard work, kindness, and gratitude while making sure they always know they are deeply loved. I couldn’t be more proud to call him my husband.

The first thing people notice about Kacee is how genuinely she cares about others. She has a way of making people feel welcomed and loved, whether she’s with family, friends, students, or someone she just met. That’s one of the many reasons I feel so lucky to call her my wife.

She was raised by parents who taught her the importance of hard work, kindness, and serving others. Those values are part of everything she does. Whether she’s teaching, mentoring students through FCCLA, spending time with family, or encouraging someone who’s having a hard day, she gives her whole heart.

One memory has always stayed with me. After a rough day at work, I came home completely worn out. Before I ever said a word, she knew something wasn’t right. She listened, encouraged me, and somehow made everything feel lighter. That’s just who Kacee is.

More than anything, I can’t wait to watch Kacee become a mom. She has spent her life caring for others, and I know our child will grow up surrounded by patience, laughter, and unconditional love. I truly believe she was made for motherhood.

The example our parents set has shaped the kind of parents we hope to become. They celebrated our successes, guided us through challenges, and were always present. Their love and support are gifts we hope to pass on to our own child. Our faith is also an important part of our family. We grew up going to church, attending Sunday school, and learning that God is with us every step of the way. We want our child to know Him as we do. We are grateful to be part of a loving church family that supports and encourages us, and we look forward to raising our child surrounded by that same community of faith. We want our child to feel safe to be themselves while knowing how much they are loved and supported every step of the way. We hope they’ll be curious to explore, confident enough to try new things, and resilient enough to learn from life’s challenges.

We were fortunate to grow up surrounded by opportunities to explore the outdoors, participate in school activities, and discover the interests that helped shape who we are. We look forward to giving our child those same opportunities while encouraging them to follow the passions that make them uniquely themselves. Above all, we want our home to be filled with laughter and unconditional love. We hope our child always knows they are loved by so many people, not just us, but also you. We never want them to every question that.

We know adoption begins with an incredible act of love and courage. We also know that this decision is not made lightly. If we are given the privilege of raising your child, we promise to honor where they came from and the people who made their story possible. We want them to grow up knowing their story from the very beginning and to always feel proud of every part of who they are. If you would like, we would love to help preserve your story through photos, letters, and keepsakes so they always know where they came from. We are open to maintaining communication through updates, photos, and letters if that is something everyone feels comfortable with. We want to find an arrangement that is best for the child.
