Maci & Nathan

Our Why

Throughout this experience, we grew closer as a couple and deepened our spiritual connection, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to expand our family through adoption.

Shortly after our marriage, we faced the challenging diagnosis of unexplained infertility. In response, we turned to God, trusting that we would be guided along the right path. Initially, we explored adoption but spent three years undergoing fertility treatments. After enduring a challenging journey marked by miscarriages and unexpected losses, we leaned on our faith and shifted our focus back to adoption. Throughout this experience, we grew closer as a couple and deepened our spiritual connection, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to expand our family through adoption.

Adoption holds a special place in our hearts, intertwined with our family stories. These experiences have only fueled our passion and determination as we embark on our own adoption journey.

A true Love Story…

Maci & Nathan continue to start each of their day loving one another and putting their faith first.

Maci & Nathan met each other in 2012. Both were in high school, at 2 different schools, but met at their first jobs.. Culver’s! The two hit it off and were friends at first, but quickly learned that there was a lot in common between the two of them. Maci, in fact, did not want to be friends with Nathan because she thought Nathan was much older than her, but he was only 2 years older. Since meeting one another, the two have become inseparable. Maci and Nathan together found a calling to serve their community as first responders. After graduating from high school in 2013 and 2014, Maci and Nathan continued their relationship into their adult life. This transition created a major challenge for the 2 of them, but it made them who they are today, inseparable. January 1st of 2017, Nathan decided to propose to Maci in front of a Christmas tree at a nearby park that they visit every single year as a Christmas tradition that they started together. Maci, of course, said yes and was not only shocked about the engagement but was also shocked to hear her family cheering for her nearby. In 2018, Maci and Nathan purchased their home together right before their upcoming wedding and adopted their dogs, Turbo and Diesel. In September of 2019, Maci and Nathan got married in front of their family and friends in Magnolia, Texas. Since getting married, Maci and Nathan have faced numerous struggles regarding infertility, but they faced those struggles together. Since getting married, Maci & Nathan have adopted 2 more dogs (Goose & Shelby) and ironically work for the same employer again, still serving the community! Maci & Nathan continue to start each of their day loving one another and putting their faith first… the rest is history!

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

A day in our life...

We are eager to spend countless days relaxing or fishing on the lake!

A day in our life consists of waking up early in the morning and going to the gym. After the gym, we get breakfast and relax at home for the morning. We typically split up our home responsibilities and have specific days where we do specific chores. Otherwise, we have a housekeeper who comes bi-weekly to clean up what we miss. We enjoy cooking homemade dinners in the kitchen, but we will also enjoy the occasional take-out. (Pizza & Chinese food are our favorites!!)

When we’re not at home, unwinding on our couch and watching movies, you can catch us in our garage, taking walks with our dogs, or embarking on exciting adventures with our family. We have a variety of enjoyable amenities nearby, including a movie theater, shopping mall, public park, walking trails, and a lake. Recently, our family acquired a tritoon boat, and we are eager to spend countless days relaxing or fishing on the lake!
