Letters

Letter to Mother

We’re just two people who have built a life full of love, laughter, and family—and who are ready, with open hearts, to welcome a child into it.

We may not know your exact story, but we know that you’re trying to do something loving and brave—and that matters deeply. We’re not here to write the perfect letter or tell you we have all the answers. We’re just two people who have built a life full of love, laughter, and family—and who are ready, with open hearts, to welcome a child into it.You’ll learn more about us in our profile —our home, our traditions, our family —but we hope what stands out most is this: if you choose us, your child will grow up in a home where they are celebrated, protected, and deeply loved every single day. We’re so grateful that you’re taking the time to read this. However your journey unfolds, we’re sending you strength, love, and peace with every step.

Why Adoption:

This isn’t just a decision for us—it’s our dream. And we’re so grateful to even be considered.

From our second date, we were already talking about building a family. It’s one of the biggest reasons we moved—to be close to our extended family, so our future child could grow up surrounded by love, laughter, and support.

We dated for two years before getting married in 2019. Since then, we’ve made the most of life—traveling, seeing live music and sports, hiking, visiting national parks, and just being silly together. We also work out together most mornings—it’s how we start our day as a team.

We’ve always wanted to be parents. After several years trying to grow our family naturally, we realized adoption is the path meant for us. We’re ready—fully and completely—to give a child all the love, joy, and stability we can.

This isn’t just a decision for us—it’s our dream. And we’re so grateful to even be considered.

Our Story:

We value experiences, community, and staying present in the moment.

Matt:
I’m outgoing, driven, and big-hearted. I grew up close to my family, surrounded by great friends. Sports were a big part of my life growing up—basketball, soccer, and especially track and field (my favorite races were the 800 and 1600 meters).I had the unique opportunity to live in New York City in my early 20s. I was waiting tables and living with my sister at the time. 6 months later, I found a job that would lead to my career and my opportunity to get my Master’s Degree in Business. Today, I run a small business with 35 employees and spend time mentoring other local business owners. One of my favorite things is speaking at events to help small businesses grow. I also love being outside, whether it’s hiking, exploring new places, or just listening to the birds in our backyard.Losing my dad at 12 made me grow up fast—and also made me want, more than anything, to be the kind of present, loving parent he was.

    Fun Facts:

  • Favorite Movie: Star Wars
  • Favorite Music: Hip Hop and Reggae
  • Athletic Feat: I once ran a mile in 4 mins and 37 seconds
  • Travel: I’ve traveled to 6 out of the 7 continents (Not sure Antarctica is in the cards)

  • Michelle:
I’m the youngest of six kids and come from a big, joyful, loud, and loving family. Growing up, our house was always full of laughter and support. I loved science, math, and staying active—playing tennis and cheering helped me grow confident and build strong friendships.Today, I work at a nonprofit focused on health and technology. I’m lucky to do work that helps people and gives back to the community. I also volunteer at our local church’s food kitchen during the week—it’s important to me that people feel seen and supported, even in small ways.More than anything, I’m ready to grow our family through adoption and share everything I’ve learned about love, encouragement, and care with a child.Hobbies/Travel:We love to explore—whether it’s a big international trip (like Japan, Rome, or Paris) or a cozy weekend getaway to places like Portland, Denver, or Chicago.Outdoors, you’ll find us hiking, kayaking, or simply walking with Winnie. Indoors, we’re fans of comedy shows, musicals, live music, and pretty much anything that brings people together. We value experiences, community, and staying present in the moment.

We are Excited to Share and Our Promise

We can’t imagine the strength it takes to even consider an adoption plan. You’re making a decision that takes incredible love and courage, and we have so much respect for that.

We can’t wait for the everyday moments—reading books at bedtime, walking to the park with Winnie, helping with school projects, and making pancakes on Sunday mornings.
We dream about family vacations, showing our child new places, and exploring the world together—whether it’s across the globe or in our own backyard. We want them to grow up curious, confident, and always knowing they are deeply loved.

Promises:
We can’t imagine the strength it takes to even consider an adoption plan. You’re making a decision that takes incredible love and courage, and we have so much respect for that.
While we can’t promise exactly what the future holds, here’s what we can promise:

If chosen, your child will be loved completely and unconditionally. They’ll grow up in a safe, happy home with two parents who show up, who listen, and who cheer them on every step of the way.

They’ll have books to read, adventures to go on, and a big extended family ready to welcome them with open arms.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope our story gave you a glimpse of the home, love, and future we’re excited to share.
